The second Prestor Brand film continues the momentum created by the first, in a tense unfolding of events that take place over a single night – technically – as Brand is injected with a poison that will kill him if he is exposed to the sun’s rays. Though Brand visits several locations, he does so by use of “Arc Travel” a low-orbit form of transport that keeps Brand always ahead of the sun. Villain Moench Colan is classic in form, with his light sensitivity, and modern in action, as he manipulates the world’s markets after hours. The depiction of a secret night world and the iconic shot of Brand watching the sun rise make this an enduring modern classic.
