The first Jove Brand film is based on the first book in the series. Brand is called into action when a series of Robin Hood style killings take place, with the victims all being of royal blood, their possessions left on the doorsteps of the indigent. Brand suspects the killer’s motives are less than altruistic.
The film and book series begin with the same line:
Jove Brand knew the odds. He also knew they didn’t apply to him.
The same line is etched on the tombstone of Bowman Fletcher, Brand’s mysterious creator.
